Turns out that @PayPal customer service lied to me when they told me they reviewed my account & would be releasing the funds in my account. ๐
They have decided to move forward with permanently disabling my account & keeping the funds on hold until approximately October 2nd, 2026, but there is no guarantee they will be released by this date if at all.
I'm actually sick to my stomach. $764 just unavailable & possibly going to be stolen from my mother within the next 6 months over a purchase I made in 2023.
This also means that my sponsorship payout with @ADVANCEDgg will also be unavailable to me when it arrives which is part of my income for general monthly expenses.
This doesn't only hurt my mother, but it hurts me as well as a content creator & a person who's also simply trying to survive day to day like everyone else.
@PayPal, you are thieves, you are liars & I am absolutely disgusted by you.
@ClioTaurus@Twitch That is incredibly stupid considering how many other names are on the site that are far worse. I would ask them to reinstate your account. You have literally done nothing wrong.
I want to make it very clear, do NOT use @Wix for your website/domain services. If you get charged almost 400 dollars for a yearly service you do not want and have forgotten about, they will not even give you a partial refund when you notice the charge.
Abysmal customer service.
I spoke with their representative for forty minutes explaining that the email I used to sign up is dormant, that I don't even have access to it now. I explained that I didn't even require a full refund as I understand my error. But that I have not made use of the service ultimately, and have no intention to use it this year either.
Any company worth their salt would pro-rate and refund. But not Wix.
Greed during a time where so many are struggling. Shameful.
Also, I contacted Wix with my credit info, order number info, and explained I did not have access to the email (or wix account as a result.) The whole 'I can't discuss the account you have proven you pay for' is ridiculous.
So taking off of work for the past 7 days to do some side stuff the past 7 days and finally finishing cleaning up (a day later than planned) finally catching up with me since I'm feeling a bit under the weather today.
