@behindzerosp yeah, I mean this rant was mostly about short form content. Long form content on youtube is definitely more versatile, but for short form content usually it's supposed to be just that: short and to the point. No silly rambles, no whimsiciality ๐
I'm at a deep personal war with short form content.
It's almost essential to get discovered and to push out little snippets of yourself to new people.
On the other hand it has to be fast paced and to the point. That's not what I want my content to be like ๐ฅบ
@behindzerosp riiiight! but twitch is just not good enough for discovery. I like making content, but not the fast paced one. I like being creative and silly, but that's probably also bcs that's the type of content I like to watch!
@SaraDeekaVT Yeah! I think that's a good idea :> I guess it just builds pressure to do it the way the analytics show how you get the fastest results in viewers & performance. But that's how other popular video styles came to be! Other people working with their own rules & ideas :]
I know there is asmr content that still works in the short format, but that's not the niche I (completely) fall into since my streams can be quite chaotic too.
If anyone made it to the end of this ramble, does anyone have an idea how to work around this? ๐ฅน๐
I literally have shorts turned off on my youtube for this reason; I tend to get stuck in it and just doomscroll for eternity until my brain gets sick of all the stimulation (usually, hours will have passed by then).
It finally rained this morning ๐ง
Even tho I only had slept 2 hours i had to stay up and open my window all the way to enjoy the early morning haze and listen to the rain ๐ฅฐ
