The vote is the foundation of Indian democracy.
From the vote flows the power of our Constitution, the authority of our laws, and the legitimacy of our public institutions - this chain defines modern India.
Today this chain is broken, and this has never happened in India before. By destroying the vote, this government and the Election Commission have attacked the expression of every single Indian.
Everything this government has done on the strength of stolen votes is illegal. An MP elected through vote chori holds an illegitimate seat, and every law passed with that MP's support is an illegitimate law.
A final wish from Bollywood actor Mushtaq Ahmed Khan is being widely shared online and it is deeply moving.
According to reports, his will stated that he had already given his three daughters their full Islamic share of his property.
He reportedly left the remaining property to his wife and two sons, while setting aside one kanal of land as a trust for a mosque, with the wish that a mosque be built there.
The will was reportedly handed to Imam Muhammad Owais of Bilal Mosque in Mumbai to be read before the funeral.
His eldest son is also reported to have said that after his father’s burial, he would lay the foundation of the mosque and build it with his own money so that the reward would continue to reach his father.
A lasting legacy is not always measured in wealth. Sometimes, it is measured by what continues to benefit others after we are gone.
For me, Mumbai feels like a very old grandmother , an old mother who’s veins have become thinner so it’s always congested.. her blood dosent flow as easily as it used to years ago gathering .. in smaller places like deep clots of humanity … but then she’s still a mother and a grandmother always loved yet taken for granted…..
On my father’s birthday today, I think he would have been especially proud of my mother for having written her story with so much heart and honesty.
For me, it’s one of the greatest love stories of our time. I feel privileged to have witnessed it and I am happy that through her book, everyone will get to know my mother for what she truly is - a brave, loyal, compassionate woman, who is also tough as nails and great fun when she wants to be.
A woman whose life has been a testament to her love for her husband and her country.
Love you, ma and so, so proud of you.

Mama,
I last saw you and Papa together more than 35 years ago. Since the day Papa left, I have watched you face everything life threw at you with never-ending courage and dignity. Only Priyanka and I really know what you have been through, and how difficult your life after Papa truly was.
I am happy, and so proud, that your story - “Belonging: A Journey of Love” - will finally be read by the millions of people who love you. I know how hard it was for someone as private as you to tell the world your beautiful story.
Today, on his birthday, I can see Papa smiling and looking down proudly at his beautiful Sonia.
Love,
Rahul

In 2022, few people vandalised the Wayanad office of Rahul Gandhi when he was MP from there
*When he visited Wayanad after few days*
Journalist –– What punishment you want for those who broke your office?
Rahul Gandhi 🫡 –– Those who did are someone's children. They probably don't know consequences of such things. I have no grudges against them. We should leave and forgive them. Even if their ideology is against us, no issues, just leave them"
This is how a leader sounds
