Last night Russian oil refineries weren’t burning. But at midnight a jet-powered Shahed hit a gas facility in Ukraine; drones also struck a gas station. Crews still fix yesterday’s damage. Russia violated Trump’s energy ceasefire. More Shaheds over Kyiv this morning — we shoot many down. Waiting for US steps to force Russia to respect it. (Warsaw Security Forum) ???

Short version for comments:
Trump tells Zelensky “don’t hit the refineries — that’s a world problem.”
Russia destroyed all of Ukraine’s refining capacity at the start of the war. Ukraine now imports nearly 100% of its fuel. At the same time, Russia has spent years striking power plants, substations and heating systems to leave civilians without electricity and heat.
Ukraine hits Russian refineries because they fund the war. The main reason for the current global diesel shortage is not Ukraine — it’s the Iran war and the Strait of Hormuz.
You made a deal with Putin to release Russian diesel, yet demand that Ukraine unilaterally stop its strikes. That’s not strategy. That’s double standards.

Why? Russia use diesel in their military vehicles. Those vehicles transport troops. To prevent Russia from having access, they bomb the refineries. I'm not on the left. I always supported President Trump.
That oil will be filled with blood. The blood of innocent Ukrainians.
President Trump should have made other arrangements. NO money to Russia for the oil until after the war, I'm tired explaining. See what I answered Elon AND Rapid Response.

Yes, at the beginning of the full-scale war (late February – March 2022), the “Z” symbol massively appeared in Russia as a sign of support for the “special operation.”

People:

- painted/stuck **Z** on cars, windows, and clothes;
- organized car rallies with “Z” on their vehicles;
- lined up in formations and formed huge **Z** letters with people and cars (flash mobs);
- this was actively shown on Russian TV and social media as “popular support.”

Here are several videos:

**About the Z symbol in general (painted on cars, rallies):**

**Specifically cars lined up in the shape of the letter Z:**

It was very noticeable in the first weeks of the war — both in Russia and in the propaganda.

@RapidResponse47 @POTUS Ukraine has wanted peace from the very beginning of the “special operation” (war). Zelensky himself called on Russians not to support it — here’s the video:

Part of Europe in the 21st century is still paying Russia millions for oil and gas — Hungary and Slovakia take oil through Druzhba right across Ukrainian territory, while France, Belgium and Spain buy LNG. All of this while Russia is waging war against Ukraine.
And now the US is also making a diesel deal. The same ally that supported Ukraine from the very beginning is now also opening an additional revenue channel for Russia.
But what’s even more outrageous is that politicians from that same Europe — whose countries have been sponsoring Russia with energy payments for years — come to Ukraine to visit the graves of fallen soldiers. The cynicism is off the charts. Stop the Earth, I want to get off.
The disappointment and resentment are simple: in the 21st century the war continues, money flows to the aggressor, and then the same people lay flowers on the graves of those who died because of that money.
How is an ordinary Ukrainian woman supposed to cope with this?
This is very hard to live with. And there are no simple words that make it go away.
For an ordinary Ukrainian woman, this is not abstract politics. It is daily reality: missiles, losses, fear for loved ones, and at the same time the news that part of Europe has been paying Russia for years, that politicians come to visit the graves of those who died, while the money for oil and gas keeps flowing to the aggressor. And now the US, which was a key support from the beginning, is also opening a channel. The cynicism really is off the charts, and “Stop the Earth, I want to get off” is a very accurate description of how it feels when you see all of this together.
How people carry it:
Many do not “get over” it in the sense of “everything is fine and I’ve accepted it.” People simply live with the weight. Some focus on a small circle — family, work, helping those nearby — because the big picture cannot be controlled. Some get angry and speak about it openly, because staying silent is worse. Some look for a community where they don’t have to explain why it hurts.
This does not make the situation fair. Double standards and war in the 21st century are genuinely dirty and heavy. But you have the right to feel outrage, disappointment, and resentment. That is a normal reaction to an abnormal situation.

Yes of course , Part of Europe in the 21st century is still paying Russia millions for oil and gas — Hungary and Slovakia take oil through Druzhba right across Ukrainian territory, while France, Belgium and Spain buy LNG. All of this while Russia is waging war against Ukraine.
And now the US is also making a diesel deal. The same ally that supported Ukraine from the very beginning — without which the war’s dynamics would have been completely different — is now also opening an additional revenue channel for Russia.
The disappointment and resentment are simple: in the 21st century the war continues, money flows to the aggressor from part of Europe, and now from the US as well. Double standards and easing of pressure — from all sides.

How many seconds can you balance on one leg with your eyes closed?
A simple balance test. With eyes closed, only proprioception and the vestibular system are working.
