As a community we have taken some learning time to find out more about Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and have designed some rocks to help remember her.
Year 6 learnt about blood by making blood smoothies. We used strawberries and raspberries for the red blood cells, marshmallow for white blood cells, sprinkles for the platelets and tropical juice for the plasma. Yummy!
Robins Class have been learning about printing in art this week. We found leaves on the playground and on the field and have used them to make art through printing into our sketch books 🎨🖼

Year 6 kickstarted their new topic of ‘How do our bodies tick?’ by dissecting pig and lamb hearts. We explored how blood pumps through the body and the different arteries, veins and chambers.
Kingfishers had a great time experiencing the Harry Potter themed science workshop to end our topic! We learnt about different chemical reactions and chemical symbols.
Owl Class had a great time yesterday for their end of topic treat! Falconry and archery! We had a visit from Joes Bows who ran archery sessions for the children. Followed by a falconry session where the children had the chance to learn about birds of prey! 🏹
Robins Class have been learning about Jamie Oliver and how he encourages healthy living. We spent our day making bread rolls, and we tried new fruits and vegetables! We then made healthy choices when deciding what we wanted in our sandwich before taking them home to enjoy 😋🍍🥒
Ludd club had a visit from the Easter bunny! We all had so much fun hunting for the eggs with our names on and enjoying an outdoor picnic with our friends and our chocolate treats! 🐣
Robins Class have finally erupted their volcanoes! At the start of the term, we made models of a volcano and now that we are reaching the end of the term, it was time for them to erupt!🌋
A huge well done to our handball team this week. We played extremely well and ended up close second in our group after playing our hardest and working fantastically as a team. Great work Luddenham! 🏅
A huge well done to our cross country stars! 18 children went to Herne Bay and raced against so many other schools! They all did extremely well and are very proud. A special well done to KS1 for coming 6th, Year 3 & 4 Girls for coming 2nd, and Year 5 & 6 Girls for coming 7th. 🏃♀️
Eagles Class have had a lot of fun at forest school last week! We have been playing in the puddles, cooking in the mud kitchen, climbing trees and building dens. We also toasted marshmallows to make Smores which we washed down with hot chocolate. 🌳
Luddenham have had a wonderful World Book Day! As a school we looked at the book ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ and all dressed as different coloured crayons 🖍
