@CalzagheWasBest@MaureenShea@matchroom@tiarabrownbox I agree, but Rolly got to fight wether we agree or not. Imagine if 2 fighters were not rated and got into the ratings the following month and they got to fight for the “world title” while Rolly watched (even though he was rated at the top). That’s what happened to @MaureenShea
@MaureenShea@CalzagheWasBest@matchroom@tiarabrownbox And if the top two should fight for a vacant world title, you would have fought and had the opportunity before the current “Champions”. We’ve already covered this topic….it gets tiring. It just needs to be fixed, period. For everyone’s sake, even those that don’t get it….
@CalzagheWasBest@MaureenShea@matchroom@tiarabrownbox It is not being done “the proper way” if mandatories are not being honored. That’s the purpose of mandatories, so fighters can’t avoid top opponents. And it’s wrong no matter who does it, I’ve brought it up before this current climate in female boxing.
@WBCBoxingNews@MaureenShea@semplificato We were told that Courtney not available and @MaureenShea was offered the fight. The next day Courtney was announced and a few weeks later Courtney was off again. A “short notice fight” was made. @MaureenShea never got a call back.
@CalzagheWasBest@MaureenShea@matchroom@tiarabrownbox Matchroom did create the current climate in the female division. 100%. They did what promotors have failed to do for years! I give them all the credit. But in doing so, it’s unfair @MaureenShea was bypassed (while in a mandatory position / top 2 when a title was vacant).
