This is something I hope to look forward to in my classroom. I want students to be able to visualize some of the more abstract concepts of math and enjoy them the way these students had with elements.
Part of the reason I want to go to graduate school is to partake in research that allows me to develop creative ways to get students to enjoy math. Ms. Snow was able to present students with an engaging activity that had a physical component that made it easy to visualize.
@miss_morgan_nc@NCStateCED@CCMMSRedwolves Working on this with you was such an amazing opportunity. You show an incredible passion for teaching, and I hope it doesn't falter! I am really happy that we were able to align the content of this workshop with their test. Do you think we could have done anything different?
@Mr_Pennachio@CCMMSRedwolves@NCStateCED This is such a cool workshop! Allowing students to increase their proficiency on debate must have been such an amazing opportunity for them. Maybe one day I'll be able to implement a fun activity in a math classroom but who knows. Where did "Sus Local" come from? ๐๐๐
@MsLeeintheLab @NCStateCED@MrJones_Teaches@MariaMReyes0513@CCMMSRedwolves I love how engaging you made your workshop! I also think it is really powerful to give students the opportunity to work with at least one pre-service teacher for a bit. I just wonder, do you think there is anything you could do differently? You guys did an amazing job.
@educatorkkim This is a really cool workshop! I like that your workshop gave students the opportunity to present some of the poetry they crafted. I will be honest, I want to incorporate a presentation element to be featured in my classroom at least once.
Here is an example of some work that was written during our activity. There is no identifying information. This entire experience allowed me to rediscover why I chose teaching in the first place, and I am excited to continue undergrad. #EDP204SLP@CCMMSRedwolves@NCStateCED
The other day, I had the amazing opportunity to work with a group of my peers to develop an activity that allowed students to review material for an upcoming test. (1/4)
Students were utilizing bingo cards that were made with the website https://t.co/n3GYNGZM9e. Because we wanted to streamline the process, we requested that students drafted their work on the back of their cards.
