First look 👀
As BC Roma (the Italian basketball club in which Luka Dončić is a part-owner) began its inaugural training camp last week, we got our first glimpse at the team’s color scheme and a notable jersey sponsor.
77X, Luka’s own company and direct-to-fan brand - appears to be the title sponsor featured prominently on the jerseys. 🔥

The 8th Annual Dirk Nowitzki Foundation Tennis Classic is happening September 19th.
This is an event I have enjoyed attending, and it has gotten better every year - tennis, good food that’s included with your ticket, and most importantly in Texas, air conditioning.
The tournament has also seen Luka participate twice!
Catch Dirk and his celebrity guests get after it on the tennis court, with all proceeds benefiting the @TheDNFoundation.

This week, the NBA has been counting down the top 50 assists from the 2025-26 NBA season.
Through the first 30 assists revealed, Luka claims two spots on the countdown 🪄

LD made a stop at the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana 🤝
The Embassy recognized Luka’s continued role and effort to bring the two countries together through sport.
Luka’s “Drive For 18” Golf Scramble branding visuals.
The event, involving LD’s teammates during the team’s Slovenia trip, was sponsored by Jordan Golf and put on at Luka’s home club - Royal Bled.
Branding by Moonbase, who has helped with several Dončić-based projects in the past.
Talkin’ itinerary…
Over the course of the Lakers’ four-day trip to Slovenia, there was very little downtime.
The schedule included physical activities such as basketball, rowing, cycling, golf and bowling.
Leisure activities included sightseeing, a boat ride, meals at various local restaurants and even a night at the club.
The final activity of the trip included a Dončić staple — helping kids in need. In this case, Luka and his teammates visited children at a local hospital in Ljubljana.
A group trip to a foreign country (for everyone outside of Luka) gives the 2026-27 Lakers a collection of shared experiences that will last well beyond these four days.
Regardless of what happens on the court, those experiences will forever be part of this group’s story. And when it comes to basketball, there’s a good chance the time spent together pays dividends by helping build chemistry before the season even begins.
From the outside looking in, no detail appeared to be overlooked. Luka and his team seemingly put together a first-class experience from start to finish.
If you’ve followed Luka and his team for any amount of time, you know this is how they roll..
Excellence is the standard.
An incredible trip.

Talkin’ leadership.
The star player bringing a few players out to a (usually domestic) location for a few days?
We’ve seen it plenty of times.
But a superstar, playing for the most recognizable basketball brand in the world, bringing his entire team (on his own dime) across the Atlantic to his home country of Slovenia?
That’s different.
LD and his team continue to venture into territory we simply haven’t seen before, finding new ways to redefine what leadership, player empowerment and building a brand around an athlete can look like.

Gear watch 👀
During the Lakers’ Slovenia trip, we got a glimpse of two possible upcoming Luka logo retail releases.
Last season, we got our first Luka logo hat release in both black and white. The hats’ material gave them more of an off-the-court vibe. The new hat, seen worn by both Jarred Vanderbilt and Jake LaRavia, is made of Dri-FIT material and features an adjustable clasp.
The second item was worn by LD77 himself — a Jordan Brand backpack complete with his logo. Dončić has had several bags over the years donning his logo that were never released, so this one would be a welcome surprise if it made its way to market.

One notable presence during the Lakers’ trip to Slovenia was legendary (and unorthodox) coach Holger Geschwindner.
As first pointed out by @TheSteinLine, Holger was in the stands watching the Lakers practice during their time in Slovenia.
When Stein asked about Holger — who served as Dirk Nowitzki’s personal coach throughout his career — about the reason for his attendance, it was stated that he was there to continue helping with Dončić’s Total Hoops Approach, Luka Dončić’s philosophy and ongoing project aimed at helping move the game of basketball forward in a positive direction.
Holger was also on hand to help Dončić during a Total Hoops Approach basketball camp this past season during All-Star Weekend in LA and even attended his 77X premiere party.
