A pal asked me about my thoughts on how Aoba couldn't touch anything in Eiden's scrap world before the gems appeared and I read it as Eiden's emotional armour/distance from people.

When Aoba uses Scrap on Eiden, we get to see the inside of his head. A blinding space of white with pieces of gemstone floating around. This is so thematically on point from him.
