I’m running for Congress because our country is in crisis, our party’s in crisis, and we have to start doing things differently. We need to throw everything we’ve got at stopping Donald Trump and his corrupt agenda, and I’ll fight like hell every day to do that.
We need Members of Congress who, from the minute they wake up to the minute they go to sleep, will work relentlessly to make life easier, healthier, and more affordable for every American. That’s the type of energy and urgency I’ll bring to this job every day.

We need to abolish ICE.
We need citizenship for Dreamers.
We need broader pathways for legal immigration.
And we need immigration enforcement that’s sane and humane.
We know what we need.
But if we’re going to get any of it, we need a Democratic Party that’s bringing a whole new energy to this fight.
We need universal healthcare. We should have had a public option 16 years ago. And one of the reasons we don’t is that there’s too much corporate PAC money flooding the system. That’s why I won’t take a dime of corporate PAC money— now or in the future.
JD Vance says Watergate would only be a 12-hour news story today. And he’s right. This administration produces a Watergate-sized scandal before breakfast, and nobody even blinks anymore. JD Vance thinks that’s funny. It’s not. When corruption and abuse of power in the Oval Office become a punchline, that’s a threat to everything we’re supposed to be celebrating on July 4th.
We’re building strong momentum and building more every day. Democrats know we need to bring a whole new energy to this fight, and our race continues to get national attention. Want to be part of the movement? We need volunteers! Check out my page to find out how.
The thing that’s not getting enough attention about yesterday’s Supreme Court decision on independent agency appointees is that it’s going to supercharge Trump’s already out-of-control corruption.
Let's be clear: the families from Haiti and Syria, some of whom have been here for decades, don't actually have the option to "just do their paperwork" or leave. Under Trump, ICE is deliberately arresting people AT their legal proceedings. The level of cynicism and dishonesty is off the charts— as is the level of cruelty, for families that will either have to live in the shadows or risk their lives in places that are still deeply troubled. It's time to abolish ICE— and build an immigration system that makes sense.
Last but certainly not least… closed out an awesome Pride Month with West Hartford Pride this weekend. Love living in a state and in communities that celebrate freedom and take seriously what it means to protect the right to pursue happiness — no matter who you love or how you identify. Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
So grateful to have the support of the Connecticut Hispanic Democratic Caucus — and thank you, Chair Maly Rosado and Vice Chair Miguel, for your kind words. This endorsement means a lot. Looking forward to working together in the rest of this campaign and then working together for years to come.
Grateful for the support of so many elected leaders on the West Hartford Town Council and Board of Education. Thank you, Deb Polun and Ben Wenograd, for your kind words! Looking forward to winning together & then working together!
Donald Trump is using a good housing bill as leverage to force a vote on a bad bill that makes it harder for Americans to vote. The “SAVE America Act” is a really bad bill that would make it harder for American citizens — especially women, veterans, and disabled Americans — to exercise their fundamental right to vote. Even Republicans know it’s a bad bill, which is why Trump is trying to force them to pass it by using the housing crisis as leverage. You can’t make this stuff up.
**Big new endorsement**….this time from the Connecticut Hispanic Democratic Caucus. We’re building a strong coalition. But it didn’t start in this campaign. I’m proud to have served as Mayor of one of the most diverse cities in the country, with a large, strong, and diverse Latino community. The fight right now is a fight for fairness and opportunity for everyone — universal healthcare, housing people can afford, a sane immigration policy, and abolishing ICE. Looking forward to working with the CT Hispanic Democratic Caucus over the next 44 days on this campaign— and in the years ahead in Congress.
From Hartford to South Windsor to Windsor, three great gatherings and three great conversations in 24 hours. This is the part of campaigning that I love. Real talk about what we need to do — as a party and as a country. Plus some good music in Bristol and some fried dough in Windsor Locks! What’s next? Fired up & ready to go.
I’m honored to stand with the Connecticut Hispanic Democratic Caucus today and every day. Over the next 50 days, CHDC will be a critical part of our strong and growing team. Let's keep the momentum going!
So proud and grateful to have the support of AFSCME Local 1716. 1716 represents sanitation workers, park maintainers, mechanics, and so many more folks who are some of the hardest-working public servants around. This endorsement means a lot because AFSCME Local 1716 worked directly with me for eight years, knows me, negotiated with me, and knows what I stand for and what I’ll fight for. I’m proud to have their support in this campaign, and as a member of Congress, I’ll fight every day to make sure they’ve got the support they deserve — and to build an economy that works for working families and the middle class.
