@theavfcfaithful@henrywinter Konsa at RB maybe? Wouldn’t be completely shocking.
I know shirt numbers aren’t everything but he got the 2 shirt as well!
@1893_Charlie@oxfjackm I can see your point, I do think that’s a passive way to approach the window. I think you want to be more aggressive than replacing players that didn’t really feature.
You want new starters and the ones that get pushed down become the competition and that raises the level
Odin Bailey the first released player I’ve seen that I would quite like!
Versatile, athletic and contributes going forwards. Also played over 40 games in the last three seasons, 57 games this year.
Could be smart business #oufc
@1893_Charlie@oxfjackm Both players you’ve listed are different to the names being suggested.
Murphy, talent way above L1 level we just had to get it out of him.
Ruben was an outlier of a player that put huge numbers up in the NL. We took the gamble and he was good enough for champ.
Both on the up
@1893_Charlie@oxfjackm I think we have a load of those profiles already in our squad.
The boys that are good for L1 but not enough for the champ!
Also no issue with free transfers, it’s just who they are.
@HarryCallaghan_ Isn’t this becoming a thing clubs do? Pick a fan favourite to excite people to buy ST
Then they tend to get sold a couple weeks later anyway 😂 luckily I don’t think Tyler will have loads of offers this summer
@1893_Charlie@oxfjackm Have we done that with any of the players that we signed last time around?
These players come in, get promoted get a % rise in the wages then don’t want to take the cut.
Players being released by sides entering the next step should be a sign these players can’t step up
@oxfjackm@BraddersSimon I think Cam can do the same job Collins does and more.
Ans if we play the double pivot I don’t think Collins pairs nicely with any of the ones we have.
My picks would be McD and Cam, and try BDK higher while we have him
@1893_Charlie@oxfjackm That was our issue last time we went up though, had players contracted that wasn’t good enough for the champ, but couldn’t move on for any decent money.
Think we’ve got to be smarter if we are to go up again
@1893_Charlie@oxfjackm Wintle is a shout tbf, forgot he got released.
The others I don’t impress me much, due to what we have in the squad already or in Johnstons case, not good enough for the next level so would need to replace if we went up again
@oxfjackm Collins is okay, think we have that profile covered.
Osei-Tutu, do we need a RB?
Johnston - Fine but would need replacing if promoted, would rather a younger profile.
Slattery, wouldn’t mind but not like “I want us to sign him”
