500 Days Sober Today!

I spent my whole life thinking pleasure was happiness, it was a lie, I only became happy & content when I gave up chasing easy pleasure.

I don’t count everyday religiously but I do lookout for these milestones because there was a time that they were completely unobtainable to me, now they sit as reminder to how happy & strong I am.

To anyone struggling & fed up with the cycle of drinking & feeling awful, anyone that no longer enjoys it, it isn’t just possible to break free it’s so so much better.

Blessed. Id be a complete mess & maybe not even here if it wasn’t for my wife.

Huge shout out to all my people choosing sobriety this Xmas for themselves and their family!

I love it, it can be tricky at times but its great to be present, don’t beat yourself up, stop and remember why you are doing it and be really proud of yourself, its hard work and takes strength especially at Christmas so well done.

When you can’t just have a couple Xmas can be a right mess, this way its all about the family and the kids like it should be.
