I invited Luke to our November Prospect Filming at @CCCYetis_BSBL on Coach @SeanBurroughs73' recommendation. Coach said he was a competitor who wants the ball in any situation. It was late in the process, but Coach felt he could play at the next level.

Luke performed well, grabbing the attention of several Coaches, not only at the Prospect Filming, but also from sending his films out afterwards. His Recruiting Market went from 0 to 60 in a matter of weeks.

Faith is very important to Luke, so when Coach @coachkmo831 hosted Luke on a visit, it became quickly apparent that @BJUedu was an environment where Luke could continue his walk in the path of Christ.

For families prioritizing their Christian Faith, especially conservative evangelical principles, Bob Jones University needs to be at the top of your list. They also have a great education system, offering over 100 degrees including Engineering, Pre-Med, Nursing, Education, and Business.

2026 RHP @LukeRothrock of @BaseballWatauga brings an interesting offering to the bump. He has a little bit of "herky-jerky" that I like. 6'2" 190 frame is good to build upon. Get's downhill pretty good but still has a little east/west finish in the upper body (that might be the "herky-jerky").

FB sat 77-79; seems like it comes at you a little quicker. More velo coming. IVB 15.86, HB 8.51. CB with spins up to 2164; IVB -0.37, HB -6.60; has good control of the pitch. Some feel for the CH.

Coach @SeanBurroughs73 is a big fan of Rothrock and feels there is a lot left in the tank. Projectable, confident, determined.

He has a good Pitcher’s frame (6'2" 192 lbs); FB sits mid 7s, up to 78 mph; more in there as he learns to move faster & tightens up his delivery downhill. Moves fairly well. Tall slot, little east-west on the finish, but works for him.

Works very hard. Wants the ball; will need to take it more for the Pioneers this Spring. Battled to a 3.57 ERA last year. 4.2 GPA
