You’re right. Those files are only planning documents and they do not prove how Lumo actually works. I opened the repo too early because I wanted to start documenting the build publicly, but I should have waited until I had something technical and runnable to show. The next update will include the actual architecture, data flow, memory and goal schemas, integration details and the first working prototype. Until that is pushed, I’m not going to pretend the repo is anything more than a starting point.

Next up for Lumo is returning visitor recognition, user controlled memory, a public activity log showing real goals and failures, and a shared room where people can interact with him together. After that I’ll begin testing wallet utility with every action requiring manual approval, then start connecting the same memory and personality to his physical body. The repo will grow alongside every real update. This is only the beginning.

Releasing Lumo’s GitHub soon. I want everyone to be able to see how he works, follow each update and help shape what gets built next. Still cleaning up a few things before making it public, but it’s coming.

We’re adding GPT-Live-1 to Lumo.

Once Lumo gets his physical body, this will become his actual voice so he can speak, listen, react, and be interrupted naturally in real time.

We’re also bringing the same voice system to the site soon, so you’ll be able to actually talk to Lumo instead of only interacting through text.

The goal is for the Lumo on the site and the Lumo inside the physical body to feel like the exact same character.

I’m back and getting straight to work on Lumo. New site updates, deeper memory, better interactions, community features and the first steps toward his physical body are all coming. The goal is bigger than ever and we’re still only at the beginning. A lot is about to change for Lumo.

One last Lumo update for tonight. The account system is live, the GitHub release is being prepared and I’m setting up a separate dev account so building and progress updates have their own place. The first parts for Lumo’s physical body are also being planned. Tomorrow I’ll keep improving how he remembers people and start working on the shared room he’ll eventually move around in.

Before Lumo gets his body, we’re building the room he’ll live in. It will be a shared space where people can visit, leave food and objects, change small parts of his environment and give him things to react to. Everything that happens in the room will become part of Lumo’s memory and shape how he develops.

working on giving Lumo an actual body next.

the idea is to take everything he already has now, memory, goals, decisions, reactions, and connect it to a physical system he can control himself. cameras become vision, sensors become touch, motors become movement, and the same brain running Lumo online starts deciding what the body does in the real world.

i don’t want this to just be a robot with Lumo’s name on it. i want the body to feel like an extension of the same Lumo that has been learning and making decisions this whole time.
