@skpnky Quit that job.
Quit the people that were draining you.
Trust your intuition and instincts, not fancy words or promises from others.
Focus on your own skills and the things no one can revoke from you.
@Lyracutevibes It's been good. Maybe I learned lessons I should've learned at 40 or much later, but I'm grateful for the wisdom and for being able to learn from every situation.
RAG Tip:
If your ingestion pipeline and data are trash, don't expect good results.
Focus on ingesting your data well and nailing the embeddings.
Garbage in, garbage out.
A few lessons learned while building a professional ingestion pipeline in August 2026:
- Prefer snapshots (zlib) over API calls for consistency and to save costs.
- The AI is for interpretation and embeddings, not calculations.
- Keep things simple.
@nini_webdev It depends on your budget and how complex the application you're deploying is.
I'd use with DigitalOcean or Railway before starting with AWS to save money.
