The way people let their kids act in stores is honestly disgusting. Somehow they took "gentle parenting" to mean "making a huge unsupervised mess in a store is ~*°☆learning☆°*~"
Wouldn't it be really funny -in a capitalist dystopia kind of way- if all the 90s "vintage" obsessed teens started collecting Beanie Babies and they actually became valuable again?
Customer service is actual hell. I am trapped here at minimum wage with asshole micro managers, customers, and a bunch of boot licking perfectionist coworkers. Pretty much every day they try to call me in to cover for someone, and they now invade my dreams.
I am not living. I'm just wading through a pool of internet distractions between bouts of waiting for time to pass at work. Feels like I've spent the last year and a half trapped behind a screen.
TIL #justfatkidthings is the prime example if a deeply ingrained eating disorder culture that likes to ridicule... feeling hungry and eating as much as you like? None of these are about fatness, they're all just about eating more than they deem "socially acceptable"
My job is just completing chores. Someone wants bread, so I get it. Bread causes crumbs, so I sweep. Shoes and bodies in a place makes dirt and dirt plus bread makes disease, so I mop. It's a never ending cycle of chores. There is no greater meaning.
People who take joy in "providing good service" in their retail jobs, past the point of just completing the task and not screwing over their coworkers, are fucking bootlickers. Just say your boss is a stand in for your dad, and move on. #RetailJobs
Someone should convince all the anti-maskers to get a tattoo to represent their stance so we can all identify them after this is over and ostracize them for being fucking shit stains.
If people say they think one colour of same-taste foods (like M&Ms) taste "better" or different from they others I think they actually have synesthesia and don't realize it. M&Ms are tasty, but so is red, therefore red M&M are double tasty! #thoughts#actuallyautistic
I hate living near a school because I can't even go for a walk around the neighbourhood without passing it and immediately freaking out about covid for the rest of the day
