A LIVING HERO ✈️🇳🇬
Meet Squadron Leader A Dairo a true Nigerian hero whose bravery deserves to be celebrated while he is still alive.
On 17 July 2021, Squadron Leader A. Dairo’s Alpha Jet was shot down by bandits in Zamfara shortly after a successful combat mission. After ejecting safely, he landed deep in hostile territory and immediately came under heavy gunfire. Using courage, survival instincts, and his special forces training, he navigated through thick bushes and escaped before finally reaching safety at an emir’s palace.
A member of the 60th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Squadron Leader A. Dairo is a fighter and instructor pilot trained in counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations. He has flown several aircraft including the Alpha Jet, L-39 Albatros, and Super Mushshak, and was later awarded the Ground Service Medal for his heroic actions.
We must stop waiting until our heroes are gone before we celebrate them. Men like Squadron Leader A Dairo are still serving, still sacrificing, and still risking their lives daily for Nigeria. 🇳🇬
