Lusk Recreational Hub saw the installation of the (small sided game) goals over the last few days, one of the remaining action items from Phase 1 in the local Sports Hub. Many thanks to all in its delivery, particularly @Fingalcoco and the @Lusk2020 Sports Group.
Delivered 8&9..
8. Installation of flood lighting throughout Phase 1 of the Lusk Recreational Hub.
9. Secured a budget of €150,000.00 over the next few years. €65,000.00 was used for the safe crossing at the Skerries roundabout linking the communities to Lusk Recreational Hub
Delivered 6&7..
6. Installation of a 100 meter athletics sprint track, with lights.
7. Installation of a linear play trail around the sports facility for the benefit of all of the Lusk community (project cost €100,000).
Delivered to date numbers 4&5..
4. Installation of a perimeter path system at the recreational hub (Phase1).
5. Upgrading of the sports turf over a two-year period to ensure the surface was suitable for use by GAA and Athletics clubs.
Delivered in conjunction with FCC:
1. The taking in charge by FCC phase 1 class open space.
2. Arranging regular liaison meetings with the FCC staff/working group to discuss and agree all stages of the development to date.
3. Upgrading to the carparking facilities on the site.
Prior to the establishment of the Lusk2020 Committee, the phase 1 lands were not in charge of Fingal County Council. Since our establishment we have delivered in conjunction with Fingal County Council 12 key elements so far. Will share over a number of posts..
