Please bear in mind that as I'm currently running for re-election, I will not be posting from this profile, and will also be unable to respond to issues looking for an institutional response.

Just submitted a response to the government's consultation on conversion therapy.
Whilst it makes progress, there are still some absolutely massive loopholes in place.
Conversion therapy is abominable, and should be a crime.
Lancaster SU calls on Universities UK to immediately restart negotiations with the UCU after the Executive Committee voted unanimously to confirm the result of the referendum that took place in the last week. Read more: https://t.co/IA5vNTp2OH
Competition time ✨ Your Officer team will be on touring campus with their giant #LoveLancaster frame this week and your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get the best photo possible in the frame to be in with the chance of winning an incredible mystery prize! 😍
In 2019, you asked us to improve our governance and democracy ⚡️
You wanted us to switch from appointing student trustees, to electing. To seeing cross-campus ratification of external trustees, and to make the democratic systems work with students not against 🙌

I would like to thank the Daily Mail for sending one of their readers to have a go at me in possibly the most poorly worded and spelled attempts at abuse I have ever received.
I look forward to vuturling todays snowffakes and learning to spell as bravely as this person
@doodlesandchaos @_justsarahp It's not me saying that - it's the governance that says that. And to change the governance, you need to approve the changes.
I'm sorry you don't like the changes. I hope that the information I've provided so far is useful though - and I hope I can convince you otherwise.
@_justsarahp I've missed the socialising so much! I think we wouldn't have half the issues we had now if we'd just been able to talk about it in the office. We'd just be better as a team. I'm already planning to pull everyone together asap, just remains to be seen when!
@_justsarahp The LCOs have been given opportunities - not as many as I'd have liked though. And I couldn't give them advance sight of the final product either because of all the delays at a Board level.
It's those delays that I think have built up the mistrust.
@_justsarahp It's also worth pointing out that by not changing model, we lose the ability to add a carer's PTO as well. Our current exec is already at full size! And that does need to be changed in the articles!
@_justsarahp Torpedoing the articles is not useful though, because the Directorate is held in the Byelaws alone.
By voting No, students lose the chance to have elected trustees, a Council model and a structre that sits a little closer to the membership!
