Khalil Tate, Nick Foles, and Noah Fifita all have something in common: none began their Arizona careers as the starter. They waited for their opportunity, stayed ready, and when their number was called, they changed the trajectory of the program. Tate became a college football sensation, Foles went on to become a Super Bowl MVP, and Fifita helped lead Arizona back into national relevance. A reminder that some of the biggest stars start out on the bench.
1. He bet on games in which he was a rostered member of the team and had insider knowledge of the program. It's less sinister than betting on games in which he was starting QB, but still a disqualifying decision—particularly after placing thousands of bets
2. Okay, he's not a Texas Tech alum or Lubbock guy, he's a Texas lifer. At any rate, clearly a friendly court for a CFB program in Texas
3. Texas Tech did nothing wrong!? Tech has known about Sorsby's gambling since April and had every intention of playing him. When the NCAA rightly suspended him, Tech backed the play to try to get a judge to overrule the NCAA
Tech can end its association with Sorsby at any time. Sorsby is not a victim, nor is Tech. They have full agency in everything they've done
Between tournament expansion and halves vs. quarters -the NCAA has done a fantastic job of addressing all the stuff that doesn't need fixing, while ignoring the stuff (NIl, the portal) that does.
Bravo.
Really, some of their finest work honestly 👏👏
I believe CFB fans want to revolt against a super league like European Soccer fans did.
The problem is, the sport’s powerbrokers know that and they’re trying to ruin the sport just slowly enough that the masses don’t notice until it’s too late

I’m convinced more than ever this is a directed campaign. When people, in masse, start saying the same odd thing in the same way, it decreases the possibility for it to be an independent thought.
The great irony here is that Boise State beating Oklahoma is arguably the most memorable CFB postseason moment of all time and not many can tell you what happened in the last four Playoffs.
But nearly every fan can vividly remember Kemba Walker, UMBC, Fairleigh Dickinson, George Mason, VCU, Saint Peter’s, Oral Roberts, FGCU, CJ McCollum, Stephen Curry, Ali Farokhmanesh, Kris Jenkins and so, so much more.
I have a take:
What talking heads don’t understand is that college sports at its core is not about crowning a national champion. It’s about regional pride, beating your rival, and vibes. Those who disagree would be far happier covering the NBA or NFL.
I lived this shit man, 99% of the people with an opinion have never been to a G5 game, and damn is it frustrating
I was on campus when my school was the best G5 team in the nation. I was at the only gameday my school will ever see. My REAL LIFE was impacted by G5 football.
Years like this mean EVERYTHING to a G5 school, and it pains me that no one will experience this again if their seat is taken from the table.
All so Walmart fans can watch another episode of their favorite TV show.
Shame on anyone that built a platform covering this great sport trying to strip down all the things that make it great
There isnt a sport I know of: NFL, NBA, college hoops, MLB that only takes "the best teams."
We have qualifiers by division, geography etc.
The whole point of expanding the playoff was to include everyone - there is zero reason the G5s shouldn't get a seat at the table.
he did the premature choke in game 1 and backed it up by winning the game in OT. he wore all black tonight and backed it up by closing out the series. legendary stuff, shoutout to tyrese
For starters, if he’s calling him Tet, he is obviously the one who doesn’t pay attention to the details.
I’ve watched TMac play almost every football game he’s played in from 8th grade, through college. He doesn’t miss practices…he ls the ultimate team player and competitor and will do whatever it takes for the betterment of the team.
You’ve never heard him being anything but loyal, and a great teammate. He works his ass off catching, blocking and running his routes. Even when things didn’t go their way last year, he never backed down and competed to the end….. this in itself proves his greatness…. Add in he’s 6’4, runs a 4.4, jumps out of this world and catch anything close to him….. makes him #1 pick ….
Just my humble opinion
