โClark, the real test of a hero is knowing when the greater good will be served by an evil act. To save the Earth, the price of one life is the price that must be paid.โ
an independent portrayal of Lionel Luthor. Literate and descriptive. Crossover/OC friendly. Like and retweet?
โWhen Lex was younger and Lillian was still alive, we owned a ranch in Montana. We all used to have our share of chores around there, teaching Lex the value of hard work.โ He paused.
โUnfortunately, after Lillian passed away, I sold the property. I couldnโt<<
โ I appreciate the offer, Lionel. But you've done more than enough. โ
The man basically wrote a blank check to fund the campaign. Of course, Jonathan might find it amusing if Lionel put in a hard day doing farm work. Yeah, he'd pay to see that.
โThis is all necessary to protect Clarkโs secret. Iโm not about to let my son cross any lines. I put him on this horrible path. I used to think I was superior to eveyone else. But Iโve come to know the truth. My greatest accomplishment is
A sudden uneasiness settled in his chest. The idea of putting someone in the middle of all this- it didn't sit well.
After what happened with Lana, it was hard to imagine anyone would be willing to cross Lex. Unfortunately, Lionel was right. They needed โโ
Yeah, very true.
Some people just rub you the wrong way, but again, I can see a turn where these two become unlikely friends, primarily to protect Clark.
The thing is weโre all so far from being perfect, as Jonathan reminded Clark in season ten. I donโt blame Jonathan either. Hell, even I was skeptical.
Yes, and so I donโt blame Jonathan for being skeptical.

Iโm with you on that idea.
Because he did suspect Clark he was just waiting on conformation and once he got it he didnโt spread it around. No, he decided to use it to his advantage. But whoโs to say his intent was for personal gain?

No good deed goes unpunished. And the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Our storyline definitely made things fun. We should do that meeting, the night Jonathan died. Instead o making it look like a threat, he could explain his intentions.
It would be quite interesting considering their history.
I mean, after all, they did sort of start out on the right foot.
But you know what they say about good deeds.
Plus having Lionel and Jonathan becoming friends would be interesting. A sort of role reversal. Their sons are arch enemies while the fathers are friends.
โReally? Well I had no idea your goals were quite lofty. Youโve become an expert at hiding your projects. You may fool other people. You may even be fooling yourself. But not me. You will never fool me, Lex.โ
โI have, Lex. But youโve changed.... whereas you used to criticize my former criminal activity, youโre now declining into that same descent. Think, Lex. Think. You know this...โ Lionel looked at his son.
โYour lust for power is what drove Clark away from your friendship. When
