“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
Today on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we remember and honor his legacy. MLK “used the power of words and acts of nonviolence resistance, such as protests, grassroots organizing,1/5
of color who are fighting for the same goals. There is a lot of work to be done yet, but we can overcome anything when we work together.
We still have posters available, please contact us if you would like any! 4/5
Although there is still work to be done, together the three created change and awareness for intersectional identities that we can still see today.
“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
#MLKDay2022
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is coming up and we wanted to celebrate his legacy once again with posters.
Posters are available on a sliding scale (pay what you can) and all proceeds will go back into the work that we do at Lakeshore’s United Visionaries.
This poster was
created with our deep care for intersectional work. MLK most notably fought for Black, Brown, and workers rights. Alongside him was his advisor, Baynard Rustin, a gay Black man and a leader in civil and gay rights. Coretta Scott, MLK’s wife was also a champion of LGBTQIA+ rights
United Visionaries condemns hate rhetoric and encourages allies to speak up when they hear and see it. We can not afford to keep silent on issues of hate. Freedom of religion is freedom for all religions, not just one.

Islamophobia is a real and dangerous issue in our country and worldwide that needs to be addressed. Yesterday Muslim House Members held a news conference to speak out against Islamophobic behavior. If you haven’t watched it, we encourage you to do so. Please be advised that 1/3
expletives and offensive language are referenced.
As Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib mentioned in the conference, silence speaks volumes and Islamophobic attacks on Rep. Omar not only affects her, but Muslims everywhere, especially in the United States. Lakeshore’s 2/3
