I have just learned that @Adobe has totally lobotomized @Lightroom CC. You are FORCED to use creative cloud storage for all of your photos, which create duplicate local backups on import and are primarily stored on the cloud.
This means if you have 20,000 RAW photos that you'd like to import to Lightroom, it's both going to make a copy of the same file on the machine and the cloud (by force) and you aren't allowed to use your own filesystem structure.
@0xPBIT@Adobe@Lightroom I save my catalogue and raws all to Dropbox for easy and safe access. What’s confusing is the two products aren’t the same outside file storage. CC has access to stuff like AI generation where Classic doesn’t. Punished for not paying to store 30K raw photos on Adobe.
Is there a reason Lightroom cloud gets generative remove before Classic? I feel like I'm being punished for managing my files locally rather than using Adobe's cloud apps.. @Lightroom
@Kuya24K @xjhannaa I was under the impression resolve was better for colorists and premiere for workflow and compiling. I’ve only ever used Premier but considered da Vinci for the color tools.
@0xPBIT @CapreseMartini It’s kind of an addiction now. I first started doing that to make the negative space look less boring. Now all the skies look boring.
