A delegation from the Coalition of Youth for Devolution paid a courtesy call to the Principal Secretary for Trade Regina Ombam at her office.
The team briefed the PS on the upcoming 2nd edition of the Youth Devolution Festival scheduled for October 1st to 3rd 2025 in Kajiado County.
The event is expected to bring together 1,200 youth from all 47 counties under the theme:
"Harnessing Devolution through Youth Empowerment, Innovation, and Job Creation for Economic Growth."
The delegation was led by Odari Murabwa Head of Secretariat for the Youth Devolution Festival, alongside Hajira Bishar, the Coalition’s focal point for the Frontier Counties Development Council,Dion Wandera the Research Lead and Theresia Mutisya from the Programs Team.
In her remarks, PS Ombam commended the coalition for championing youth empowerment through devolution and emphasized the State Department's continued efforts to foster an enabling environment for youth participation in trade. She reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to exploring strategic partnerships with the coalition in support of a successful Youth Devolution Festival 2025.
