@NHSCandM Had you come, as invited, to our public meeting with the local MP, you would have met with more people than your whole "Engagement" process. You would have spoken to more people. The meeting was recorded for real clarity in reporting the event.@KimJohnsonMP@19MW98
@BimboLimboSpam Are you saying we should take the word of someone we don't know rather than the published papers? If you have evidence that the published papers are incorrect we would love to know. PM us or email at [email protected] of course talk to staff but
they can't go public.
@BimboLimboSpam@TAXIALLIANCELPO@KimJohnsonMP The ICB said a year ago there was no chance of a new build. Yesterday many desperately needed new hospitals were "postponed". Where do you get your info about a new build? We would love to know. We get our info from the ICB paperwork and their meetings, and from LWH board.
@BimboLimboSpam@TAXIALLIANCELPO@KimJohnsonMP Again the national standards say that if an ICU is not possible, arrangements should be in place with a nearby hospital, please check for yourself When we asked why an ICU was not at LWH we were told by the ICB there was not sufficient call for one. Again please check this.
@BimboLimboSpam@TAXIALLIANCELPO@KimJohnsonMP Then please tell the board and the ICB team that their published figures are incorrect. Please see our detailed response to the engagement paperwork.
@BimboLimboSpam@TAXIALLIANCELPO@KimJohnsonMP In the rare cases where the Women's can't deal with an extraordinarily complex maternity case, there are procedures in place to work with Manchester and other tertiary Hospitals, and the Women equally take complex cases from elsewhere. The Women's does meet national standards.
@cyclist13@BimboLimboSpam@TAXIALLIANCELPO@KimJohnsonMP We call for improvements at LWH and national maternity services. This crazy system spends twice as much on damages for birth injury than it does on the whole service. This has to change. There have been bad cases at the women's but not the huge scandals we have seen elsewhere
@BimboLimboSpam@TAXIALLIANCELPO@KimJohnsonMP If Liverpool women's is " subpar" why is it the regional maternal medicine centre? Why is it a tertiary hospital?? A national maternity crisis rages in the UK, but it is not caused by a maternity hospital being one mile from an acute hospital.
@TAXIALLIANCELPO@KimJohnsonMP There is space in LWH for the new NICU, for the ambulatory care development, the community diagnostic centre. Some of the space should and could be better used. The space issue in the the Royal
@BimboLimboSpam@TAXIALLIANCELPO@KimJohnsonMP Please make a formal report on this that we can raise as members of the public at the next board meeting. Liverpool Women's Hospital new NICU has not reported overcrowding in any papers campaigners have read.
@TAXIALLIANCELPO@BimboLimboSpam@KimJohnsonMP The attempt to close Liverpool Women's Hospital is about fundamental, structural underfunding of maternity care in the UK. There are many serious reports about understaffing in maternity and the harm it causes. Not even Ockendon was properly implemented.#wherewillourbabiesbeborn
