He would never do something that would betray the trust of his subordinates and destroy his position. I can't personally enjoy that kind of portrayal of him because it feels like a completely different character who is just wearing his face.

People can ship whatever they want, but yeah, I can't see Varka ever entering a romantic relationship with a subordinate, especially one who's young enough to be his son. It goes aganist everything he stands for as a character.
