The saddest thing about this Ateneo debacle is how it reminds us that corruption is embedded in Philippine culture—even in the country’s top university supposedly known for morality and principles.
sorry to the party-pooper, pero dapat shouldered na to ng admu eh. everything that involves money for at least the five next years or so. nakakainis na kailangan pang gawin to ng aggrieved family.
hindi ko parin gets bakit may nagd-defend sa ateneo. okay, sabihin na natin na accident. hell, this accident could’ve been prevented if only the coaching staff and those behind this “team building” listened to their players saying how DEADLY this activity was for them. they obviously hated it. hindi lang isa nagsabi niyan from their interviews.
and wdym na pupunta kayo sa ganitong lugar without a proper first aid/med team that can help in case accidents like this happen? bakit unsupervised? bakit niyo hahayaan yung players to do activities in a beach na ganyan kalakas yung alon? THEY ARE STILL STUDENTS. hindi niyo lang sila pawn to get that stupid championship. 2 lives gone in a blink of an eye. breadwinners pa. this is so heartbreaking. ang sakit isipin that both these kids flew to manila with a dream and the same goal only to end up being sent back to their families inside a coffin.
HOLD ATENEO AND THE REST OF THE COACHING STAFF ACCOUNTABLE.
This. Go on and protect your institution over being human, no one will ever look at you the same. You killed dreamers, you killed kids. And you chose to hide behind your high and mighty hills. Shame.
Every time they will speak up against corruption, people will remember how they failed Adili and Baterbonia families. Wala na silang moral ascendancy to speak out.
Grabe si Tab. Already talking of moving forward.
Teh, di pa nga nakakatagal sa Davao yung bangkay ni Rene.
Wala pa nga ata sa Nigeria yung bangkay ni Divine.
Teh, di pa nakakapag-pasiyam.
