By about a year or two after the split, life was peaceful again, and we'd all accepted that this new dynamic was how our family worked. My parents still hated each other, but we siblings travelled between houses now on a split custody and the healing started.
I’ve tried multiple alarms, putting my alarm across the room, keeping my curtains open for morning light, and only using my bedroom for sleep or reading. Despite all of this, I still struggle to get myself up consistently.
