This post is for those who want to reduce tick-borne infections. It can also help those who already have from getting re-infected. Can we release and encourage lizard populations in endemic areas to greatly reduce the presence of infected ticks? Discuss. #lymedisease
Mosquitos and ticks should be for bug zoos. Let's slowly stop them reproducing everywhere else. To see the horrible consequences of Lyme disease, watch free documentary at https://t.co/Q3Z8RUfpQN
🧵 1/4 Why do some people develop chronic illnesses like ME/CFS, long COVID, or persistent Lyme after an infection, while others recover? Researchers are looking at HLA genes, which show the immune system small pieces of viruses or bacteria called antigens, so it recognizes them.
This new video says there is a rise in infected ticks and their presence in suburbia. It also suggests some sort of pellet can be laid out for rodents to treat them and reduce the number of ticks that become infected. #LymeDisease
The mainstream is clearly getting better at reporting accurate information about #Lyme disease. I think one thing still missing, including this video, is just how horrible the lingering symptoms can be for the 10%-15% who have lingering symptoms. https://t.co/pQWDhnotTH
If you have post-lyme syndrome, chronic lyme or other tick-borne illness, there is new research on the cause, elevated interferon alpha in the blood. For those who hate sauna and sweating, there is hope of better treatment options. #chronicillness https://t.co/3qzQAX0hck
This is so true, and I hope he does spread awareness and bring light to the fact that so many people have it and don't even know that is what is causing their health problems.
So true. So many people have #LymeDisease and do not even realize it. They need to hear from the people who have gone through it to help them figure it out.
@rttkwarner @calamity_lyme @broadbandcobra7 @CNN Have you tried using heat at all? It isn't easy, but finding a way to raise your body temperature really high for hours seems to be the path to killing #lyme. As a treatment it is called full body hyperthermia, but with some planning can be done at home.
Thank you @justinbieber for telling everyone you have #lyme. We support you in your path to wellness. Many people don't know what they have is lyme. You should retweet @postlyme free documentary. It is designed to help cure people in to the fact if they have #lymedisease.
Thanks Nadine for sharing this story. Your experience and perspective is really valuable! There are so many others our there like you who don't understand #LymeDisease is the cause behind their #depression.
"My journey with depression and anxiety started before I was bitten by a tick — that I know of, anyway — but I absolutely believe that my Lyme disease is the reason my depression spiraled so out of control." https://t.co/iI60g4BXu5
What are people's thoughts on the new #lymetest? Why is there no elaboration if it tests for all the many stains of the pathogen? What about all the people who have related co-infections but not technically 'lyme'-Will they be told they don't have #lyme and left out to dry?
@LymeDocumentary I personally am in the #chronic#lyme camp in belief, although much in the way of fallout with regards to immune system & damage that has been done.
Just watched the trailer, pulls on heartstrings emotionally. From what I've seen nicely done.
#LymeDiseaseAwarenessMonth
Thanks. I truly hope the world becomes more aware of #lyme and how horrible it can be. Not only so that less people get it in the future but perhaps they will find ways to clean the body of it all and repair immune system dysfunction.
