Oh goodness, this year went by a little too fast. This last month has been hard with the departure of some of the sweetest and most intentional seniors I've ever taught. I know they're making the world an amazing place, but I will miss their laughter, perspective, and intuition.
In the remaining days of school, you may see some out of character behaviors from some students. Remember that not all students look forward to summer break. For some students, school is their safe place… where they receive consistent food, where they feel most successful, where they are surrounded by kindness and love, and where they can just be themselves. All behaviors are communication. Respond first with empathy and compassion. Thank you for everything you do for our kids! Have an amazing and well-deserved summer break!

A graduated cylinder bouquet picked by the soon to be High School Graduates while we were watching potato launches. Makes the room a little brighter I think!
Thank you to the @housescience leadership for hosting and to @NSF for bringing us together. We had so much fun talking about the importance of quantum #STEMeducation. Thanks to everyone who contributed and a shout out to @RandallstownHS teacher @maajidalc for joining us!
Can't forget about the OnRamps Physics kiddos trying to build a class wide roller coaster, it will be fun trying to figure out how to teach around it the next week or two.
The Biology kiddos are loving their end or the year project over embroidering prokaryotic cells! So thankful to be a part of a community that has such amazing ideas! Thanks to Colleen O'Rourke for the idea!

This video has no sound, but it should help #chemistry teachers see how I can prove to my students that the bond angle in CH₄ is 109.5°. You start with a tetrahedral CH₄ molecule inscribed in a cube.
