Junior Ministers Aisling Reilly and Joanne Bunting welcomed Luca Fratini, Consul General of Italy for Scotland and Northern Ireland, to Stormont Castle on his first visit since taking up his appointment in July.

The Junior Ministers congratulated Mr Fratini on his appointment and discussed opportunities for closer cooperation across business, culture and education.

First Minister Michelle O’Neill and deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly have met with the Ukraine Ambassador to the UK, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, at Stormont Castle.

Junior Minister Joanne Bunting and Junior Minister Aisling Reilly were delighted to attend a reception to celebrate Poland’s National Day – marking the 235th anniversary of the Constitution of 3rd May 1791.

The Junior Ministers, who were welcomed by Consul General of the Republic of Poland, Mr Grzegorz Sala, acknowledged the strong relationship with the Polish community and their contribution to life here.
