@IEatDirt441 Seeing people's response to it made me lose all hope in videogaming community. It is maybe this dogshit app, but it looks like the majority is fine with predatory practices and with getting finessed
@rcoyfppt@TheBigBlackJosh How is the Austrian painter gone insane related to digital currency I am yet to understand, but I do think that selling digital currency in a videogame is not a harmless thing. It is made to make people make financial decisions they didn't plan to do
@NepSwirlRedux It is disingenuous to say that everyone thought that "ALL" shops will be like that. It is a generalization made specifically to defend a predatory practice. No one is saying that cosmetics are bad either. It is the way they are implementing it that is a problem
@Spectre799games It is modern audience. It will not fail, people will defend it no matter what and it will sell like crazy even if they come up with a greedier thing lmao
@_Shabah_@TheBigBlackJosh It will always be like that I think. Modern audience consists of people that hate for clout, that defend games to the grave no matter what they do and those that pretend they didn't have a different opinion the moment they realize they are wrong
@SydSteyerhart You clearly underestimate the amount of R* shills. People will buy it no matter how greedy they get, I won't be surprised if it sells better than GTA 5
@Demaux To be fair, other GTAs that had multiplayer received it later down the line. However, with the development of ROME and after they saw profits from FiveM, they can also make multiplayer as a separate product, it is not an unrealistic take
@rcoyfppt@TheBigBlackJosh If the game series I want to play is covered in fomo step by step, more and more (in singleplayer, btw), I won't be sitting, consuming and defending the company, I will simply not buy it anymore, because it is clear what R* and Take-Two value more. Profit over community
@TheT8ermeister@Literature1776 Wasn't going to buy it due to the Take-Two and R* shenanigans with FiveM anyway :3 But yeah, not hyped at all. Yet constantly told on this platform that I "will still buy it" and to kill myself for not pre-ordering a game. What a world we live in hahaha
@rcoyfppt@TheBigBlackJosh Yeah, Benny's is the first thing that comes to mind due to similarity. No "extra in-game content" is necessary, true, it is not the point. The point is the way they are making sure you are reminded that you didn't spend 20$ extra, on already a premium price of 80 for the Standard
