@Chris_Dring@AdamHannan7 Not sure I really understand how Epic could consider mobiles monopolistic but not consoles, when consoles are even more restrictive lol
Didn't even take two generations to go from the PS4 marketing to:
No trading in games
No selling to another person
No lending to a friend
Keep until we remove the license
Incredible future in store for gaming. Actual greedy fucking industry.

Tim Sweeney says Steam is leaving billions on the table by ignoring major live-service games like Fortnite, Riot Games, and Genshin Impact. π https://t.co/BZ6UPyrVgD
"They're missing out on a lot of opportunity that I think they could have if they took the more forward-looking, open view that Epic has taken, and Microsoft has taken."
@GrapeApe9k It feels like it's always the same games that are slapped front and centre at the top. Ark, Cyberpunk, FC2X, COD, DBD.
It also feels like the current sale layout they've been using for the past year or two makes it harder to find stuff you might actually care for.
Honestly what is this guys problem?
If you believe that disclosing the use of AI during development will genuinely lead to less sales, then maybe take that as a sign that people don't want to buy games being made using AI.
Tim Sweeney (Epic CEO) talks about Steam's AI Disclosure policy and call it "irresponsible" π
"I think it's really irresponsible of Valve. They shouldn't do it, because it makes it much, much, much harder for a game developer to have a chance of success. You have to choose from either not using tools that can make you way more productive, and probably failing due to competition that does."
@geeseflyhigh@Fuviy_DBD It's an option if you can afford it, yes. The people complaining would've likely already bought AC if it was affordable to buy and run.
@geeseflyhigh@Fuviy_DBD Right. So it's normal for you, you're used to it.
It's not normal in Europe and thus a random, almost overnight, 10-20C jump in temperature is quite difficult for people to handle. Why is the concept of acclimatisation so difficult to understand for certain people?
@quik_vic@falloutplays What next project?
The team is going to be laid off - which is why you're seeing all the "Can't promise a fix" because they don't have time before then.
@TheGadgetFreakk@KoumeiMain@SSG_Jonny BattlEye supports Linux. It has to be approved and enabled by the developers though.
Bungie has openly said they don't want to allow Linux and it was a huge topic of debate once SteamOS released, because it would've been very easy for them to support that.
@kambyyy To be fair, whatever version of Marathon they'd have made back then would've likely been far more along the lines of Halo or Destiny, and likely would've done better.
@GhstMch@TheHiddenOneAC Ezio has some great outfits, but they literally don't fit a single setting outside of their original game. Even using the AC2 outfit in something like revelations would feel weird.
