We've had our first meeting this month and also our Annual Meeting. Quiet meeting, hopefully more members will come next month. However, it was nice to feel things are slowly getting back to normal.
What a lovely day at Lytham hall. It was just great seeing ladies again and catching up with their news. Scones yummy too. Now looking forward to first real meeting in October.
Clocks gone forward and days will be longer for us to enjoy the bright, cheerful daffodils. Hoping to soon get my appointment for my second Pfizer jab. Hope all our ladies are soon fully immunized and then maybe we can begin to think about getting together again. Keep well.
At Christmas all of our members received a handmade make up bag full of goodies including the materials to make a fabric brooch. Instigated by our President @margaretjeffre1 and really appreciated by everyone. Well done to Marjorie on completing your brooch.
Posted the last of my newsletter for October to ladies for whom I don't have an email address. All others sent by email. Received some lovely complimentary comments. Picture of plants and pumpkins at Lytham Hall.
Have sent a chatty message to our members by email. Ladies without email addresses will be contacted by phone. Had some lovely replies. Our president is busy on a secret project!
Yet another lock down today 18th September. Will we ever get a meeting off the ground? Anyway, it's good to hear that some members are getting together in small groups and so keeping in contact.
Still unable to hold a meeting. Committee have got together but are still stuck on how to have a get together. Will not be bowed & will keep striving for a solution. Take care
Cleaned every cupboard & helped with home tutoring our granddaughter - fun but challenging. Recent good weather certainly helped in the lockdown situation. Missing personal contact with our members, but use has been made of telephone and email. Family all keeping well.
Strange not seeing each other, particularly at the President's house where the committee meet and enjoy arranging future activities. Speaker at last meeting related life of a local suffregette, what a feisty woman. Take care and keep safe.
