Polish Number Station E11 “Oblique” sent a ciphered message on 5409 kHz USB. The message contained 39 groups of 5 numbers. During the transmission, each group is said twice, then the message is repeated with each group said once. Received in Poland on 30.08.2026, 20:05 UTC.

After yesterday's silence, Russian military was again active on shortwave. Interestingly, there are differences in the structures of messages containing radiograms of the same structure which suggests differences in importance of the recipient stations or the radiograms.

Other times, the starting phrase contains the callsign of the recipient repeated 3x, the callsign of the sender repeated 2x and the information that there will be a radiogram. This phrase is said three times. Then the radiogram follows (5135 kHz USB; 28.08.2026; 17:52 UTC):
@Hslavza My setup consists of RTL-SDR Blog V4 dongle plus a cheap Chinese amplifier (HT004). For an antenna i use a length of wire connected to a rain gutter. I don't have conditions for a proper antenna but this works quite well.
Russian military active on shortwave this evening. A couple of long radiograms were sent on 5135 kHz USB. "Dmitry" repeated 5 times in the beginning of the letter part of the radiogram indicates a message of high priority.

Apart from long radiograms, Russian comms also include short messages which are transmitted fairly often. They consist of 2 groups of 3 letters where the 1st letter in each group is always З (Z; "Zinaida").
