UK: John Gray, a senior figure in a major Scottish organized crime group alongside Barry and James Gillespie and James White, was sentenced to five years and ten months for his role in a large-scale drugs and money laundering operation between 2015 and 2020.
Prosecutors said Gray operated at the organization's top tier, coordinating the wholesale supply of unadulterated cocaine worth between £4.5 million and £13.5 million, alongside cannabis and diamorphine trafficking across Glasgow and Paisley.
He also oversaw drug storage and processing, coordinated criminal finances, including efforts to recover more than £1 million in cash, and attended multiple meetings with senior associates to manage the network's operations.
Investigators said Gray used EncroChat to communicate with key underworld figures, including Darren "Big Poppa" Collin.
Gray was arrested after returning from Dubai in March. Operation Escalade identified him as a senior member of the organization. The long-running Police Scotland investigation uncovered the group's drug trafficking, firearms, violence and money laundering activities.
Authorities say convictions from Operation Escalade have now resulted in prison sentences totaling more than 100 years.
@jamesenglish0 I don’t know about him tbh, only what I’ve read in the media and I know how much they exaggerate things, but I listened to the hutch trial every day and it sounded to me that Gerry tried to keep a lid on it ✌🏼
Got to admire and love the other half, he’s so particular that he likes to cook in a clean kitchen so every time I clean it he can’t wait to go to town 😂✌🏼

Last night I got a wonderful surprise 😮 a owl landed on top of the old satellite dish right outside my bedroom window, but when I picked my phone up to take a picture it flew away 😟 but to see that beautiful bird made me feel better as if it was there for a reason ✌🏼
