@OddStats@ai0dev I think it’s very possible we look back and are like of oh yeah the straight of Hormuz was a very structural change and it’s wild the market was increasing at all during that period. Just a thought.
@del_abbot@DeepDishEnjoyer Well known we’re moving significant manpower and military assets to the region. Oh yeah and we said we’d destroy them. Not sure what element of surprise you’re talking about.
Remember when we learned that our wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring? And then that guy died mysteriously in a jail? And now we just don't talk about it.
@chrisvirnig@binarybits@TheStalwart See where you're coming from, but there are structural things that keep fees high - otherwise we wouldn't be so well above the rest of the world in commissions/fees charged. It's not that Americans are dumber, it's that a cartel runs real estate here.
@binarybits@TheStalwart True - but I do a lot of things without having someone physically next to me to help guide that decision. It's not unthinkable that there's a good portion of the market that moves to a lower cost option if available. But to your point, there will be many that still want that.
