Happy 100th day of school! Celebrating today by showing off our elderly sideπ΄π»π΅π». we finished off the day hy working on our reading and writing skills in French with a literacy walk in the afternoon. @StMartinOCSB
Busy week in grade 4/5. We worked on our writing, started our natural disasters and winter olympics projects. We were able to briefly watch our olympics womens hockey team face-off against the Swiss. Perhaps there are some future olympians in this group? @StMartinOCSB π₯ππ₯

Its been a busy week in Grade 5! The students have been hard at work completing crafts and gaining a better understanding of the human body. Today we recreated hands with working tendons which will be used for our entry in this weekβs door decorating competition πͺ@StMartinOCSB

Happy National Truth and Reconciliation Day. So proud that so many of our friends were their orange to school! This morning we took time to discuss why we were wearing orange and journaled how we felt. Later on we began our investigation of the respiratory system.πͺΆ@StMartinOCSB
Today we learned about the franco-ontarian flag and what it means to french speakers throughout the province. Students also finished their skeletal system activity. Amazed at the creative yet accurate designs they were able to come up with! Bravo! ππ¦΄ππ«π· @StMartinOCSB

Today we continued our unit on the human body by learning about the skeletal system. We read a text in french explaining functions and fun facts & afterwards we labelled the major bones in the body together on the Smartboard! Great job everyone!
