Vil Okap ap fè fas a yon peryòd difisil. Li ap sibi a yon kriz anviwònmantal e demografik.
Sèl pòt antre peyi a, yon zòn refij ki ap resevwa moun toupatou, epi santral ekonomik tout rejyon an.
Li bezwen Devlpman, solisyon dirab ak envestisman.
Tout moun ki okipe litoral vil la san otorizasyon, nou gen jiska 12 mas 2026 pou libere zòn lan. Espas sila pa fèt ni pou mache, ni pou garaj, alewè pou lave machin. Li se yon richès natirèl e kolektif. Li merite tout respè li.

Mayor Angie Bell is a community leader, cultural ambassador, entrepreneur, and author who was appointed to serve as the Mayor of her hometown, Cap-Haitien, in September 2025. She is the founder of PouBèlAyiti, an artistic environmental movement aimed to keep the streets of Cap-Haitien clean and combating deforestation, and she is also the published author of several books, including “The Adventures of Yaya,” a children’s book that focuses on the culture, history, and language of Haiti. The University focuses on Political Leadership, Psychology, Education, and Entrepreneurship.
Mayor Bell’s vision is a strong, clean and prosperous Cap-Haitien that cultivates new emerging leaders and innovative strategies. One of the most pressing environmental, health and quality of life challenges in Okap is waste management. Mayor Bell is working with citizens in their own neighborhoods to carry out transformative clean ups that change the way spaces in the city are used forever. These projects are part of a comprehensive development strategy for Cap-Haitien that includes urban planning and management, reinforcing public services including fire fighting and disaster preparedness, affordable housing and real estate development, and promoting historic and cultural heritage in the region. Mayor Bell is engaging the Haitian diaspora and international sister cities as part of the konbit or team effort to change the narrative about Haiti by investing in Cap-Haitien and strengthening employment and opportunities for Haiti’s youth.
