The Taliban hit three girls in Kabul with a government vehicle, leaving one in critical condition.
The Taliban illegitimate regime has pushed people into severe social and psychological hardship, and many are exhausted by ongoing oppression.
India straight up said: “Not a single drop of water is going to Pakistan anymore.”
They’re weaponizing the rivers now. Suspended the old water treaty because of the ongoing tensions and attacks they pin on Pakistan.
This is huge for Pakistan — they depend on that water for their farms and people. Things could get messy fast.
Water wars hitting different.
@sarahadams But the referee has no terrorist links. Its an attempt to tarnish his name and reputation which will not work. Yes in Afghanistan, terrorists control every part of the society.
🇵🇰Pivot to Pakistan: Gulf states look beyond US military
Pakistan finds itself increasingly in demand as a security partner across the Persian Gulf.
It has deployed troops to Saudi Arabia, held discussions with Qatar about the latter joining the Pakistani-Saudi defense pact, and received a request from Bahrain to help train the kingdom’s pilots. There also growing high-level military contacts between Pakistan and Oman, Kuwait, and Lebanon.
This shift comes as Gulf states grow disillusioned with U.S. security guarantees after American bases on their territory were hit by Iranian missiles and drones.
"It is expansion of their defense area... not a replacement. It's basically diversification which the Gulf states are looking for,” Dr. Shaista Tabassum of the University of Karachi told Sputnik.
Why Pakistan? Tabassum gave four reasons:
🔶Nuclear deterrence – Only Muslim state with nuclear technology & missile capability to deliver warheads if required
🔶Cost advantage – Defense agreements with Pakistan are cheaper than those with the US
🔶Proven capability – Pakistan's military has recent combat experience, unlike many regional militaries
🔶The Israel factor – Pakistan's consistent anti-Israel posture guarantees no "secret relationship" with Tel Aviv, giving Gulf states political security

@AJArabic It is necessary to destroy terrorists camps and terrorist support structures across the border in Afghanistan otherwise there will be no security and peace in Pakistan and the world.
@MJalalAf The Afghan Taliban shouldn’t have moved TTP and ISKP terrorists through those villages. You are using Afghans as collateral as you are too weak to fight a real war!
