It was great being with my fatherhood family from @SCFathers and @MidlandsFathers, sharing the transformative efforts @SC_DSS continues to make to engage, support, and strengthen the fathers and families we serve. #SCDSS

Hi Everyone,
This is the most recent photo of Kyle we have. We would greatly appreciate it if you circulated it so that people could familiarize themselves with his face and hopefully someone will recognize him.
We need to bring Kyle home.
In 2008, Fostering Connections to success act was passed & allowed states to roll out EFC & kinship guardianship assistance. States had to pass laws to do these things to draw down federal $’s & implement programs. SC has done it. 2022/2023 both have passed. I’m super proud.

I'm never going to turn my back on the game of basketball. It's given too much to me. I'm still favored."

Congratulations to Miss Claflin Arteria Gibson and Mister Claflin Mendel Rivers for being named 2023 Miss and Mister CIAA! Both received a $2,500 scholarship award.
Child welfare needs to be part of all juvenile Justice reform conversations. More children entering foster care as alternative to juvenile Justice is not good practice. Something seems odd with that strategy. Courts, attorney’s need to be aware this is happening and harm it does
Two positives for today. @SC_DSS was ranked 20th and over 92% on the status of equal employment opportunity in SC government. We moved up from last year. Alway more work to do in this area. Also, continued to reduce children in foster care on psychotropics and antipsychotics.
