A disturbing case involving a minor has sparked calls for justice after the child was allegedly kidnapped and subjected to a prolonged physical assault.

The man wearing white in the video has been identified as Kamo from Alex, the father of the young boy. The man wearing black is also among those charged in connection with the incident.

According to the family, the child was allegedly assaulted for approximately two hours before being returned severely injured. He reportedly sustained serious head injuries that required urgent medical attention.

Kamo, the minor and the man wearing black have all been charged. One of the accused was reportedly granted R1,000 bail.

The family is calling for the matter to proceed through the criminal justice system without an informal settlement, and for accountability from the authorities handling the case.

The allegations remain subject to the legal process.
