The #VisitRwanda partnerships stand as clear evidence of the credibility Rwanda has earned under President Paul Kagame’s visionary and pragmatic leadership. Elite European football clubs, major American sports franchises, and continental basketball institutions have chosen to align their global brands with Rwanda precisely because the country projects stability, professionalism, and long-term reliability, qualities no serious organisation would risk associating with if they threatened to tarnish its image.

In European football, to ongoing deals with Paris Saint-Germain (extended through 2028) and Atlético Madrid, culminating in the landmark front-of-shirt partnership with Aston Villa announced in July 2026, the most lucrative in the club’s history. These clubs, competing at the highest levels of the Premier League, Ligue 1 and La Liga, continue to display the Rwanda brand before hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide.

Across the Atlantic, Rwanda became the first African tourism brand to secure multi-year partnerships with both the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers (jersey-patch sponsor) and the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams (official tourism partner of the team and SoFi Stadium) in 2025. These agreements place Visit Rwanda at the heart of two of America’s most valuable sports and entertainment properties.

On the African continent, Visit Rwanda remains a Foundational and Host Partner of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), the NBA- and FIBA-backed professional competition. Kigali’s BK Arena continues to host key stages of the league, including playoffs and finals through 2028, with the Rwanda brand appearing on team uniforms and supporting youth development programmes.

These sustained, high-profile collaborations, chosen freely by organisations whose commercial reputations are among the most carefully guarded in world sport, underscore the trust Rwanda has built. REALITY: Africa’s stability story cannot be told without mentioning Rwanda. And Rwanda’s security transformation cannot be told without mentioning President Paul Kagame.

From the streets of Bangui in the Central African Republic to the forests of Mozambique, from the protection of civilians in South Sudan to peacekeeping missions across the world, Rwandan troops have earned a reputation that speaks louder than propaganda, louder than politics, and louder than empty speeches: discipline, bravery, effectiveness, and humanity.

At a time when many nations were collapsing under terrorism, armed conflict, and political instability, Rwanda did not stand aside, it stood up. Under President Kagame’s visionary leadership, Rwanda transformed from a nation once devastated by tragedy into a continental force for peace, security, and hope.

In the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), Rwandan peacekeepers became a shield for vulnerable civilians when fear and chaos threatened to consume communities. In South Sudan (UNMISS), they stood firm in protecting innocent lives amid deadly instability. In United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), they represented Africa with honor, professionalism, and unmatched commitment.

Then came Mozambique.

When terrorists spread fear in Cabo Delgado and many doubted whether stability could return, Rwanda answered the call without hesitation. Under President Kagame’s leadership, Rwandan security forces moved with precision, courage, and determination, liberating communities, reopening economic activities, restoring hope to families, and proving once again that African problems can indeed receive African solutions. The operation became more than a military success; it became a symbol of African dignity, solidarity, and capability.

President Paul Kagame’s role goes beyond deploying troops. He has continuously pushed for regional dialogue, mediation, intelligence cooperation, and long-term security partnerships rooted in mutual respect and sovereignty. Rwanda’s defense cooperation agreements across Africa are not built on exploitation or dominance, but on trust, efficiency, and shared security interests.

Today, Rwanda’s uniform is recognized internationally as a symbol of protection and professionalism. And behind that global respect stands the strategic vision of President Kagame, a leader who understood that peace is not maintained by words alone, but by courage, sacrifice, preparedness, and responsibility.
