@thelogoswithin@IAmBritishReal So u agree with my point that countries that haven’t separated religion from state can choose to suppress other religions.
Do u regard teaching your child in school about LGBT relationships and such as something important to your secular countries values?
Would u “tolerate” that?
@thelogoswithin@IAmBritishReal I don’t dispute that,u may be right,u may not. However that’s not my point,a secular country can’t make any comparisons to a country which hasn’t separated religion and state. It’s like trying to bunch together animals that don’t live in the same habitat. The UK decided secularism
@thelogoswithin@IAmBritishReal They openly worship in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Turkey, etc. If the UK was a Christian country, Islamic preaching would also not be allowed, I don’t see what the issue is if their National religion is Islam. U can’t hold them to the same standards if their country isn’t secular
@thelogoswithin@IAmBritishReal What about Turkey? Most educated people will not agree with your sweeping statement that majority Muslim Middle Eastern countries don’t tolerate Christianity. Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon And Palestine have a strong and protected Christian community.
@thelogoswithin@IAmBritishReal The uk is a secular country, if it was a Christian country then maybe u may have a leg to stand on. Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and many more have Christian’s. The British done this much worse during colonial times, did u forget all the kids the religious leaders molested there too.
