Insiders: How do outsiders become part of the transition government in October 2026 for the upcoming election? I mean outsiders are not individuals from the diaspora, but individuals who are not part of the current government.
Election? Unless the objective is to escape responsibility for the foreseeable collapse of the state. The current situation demands urgent attention. Elections alone cannot resolve persistent insecurity, weak institutions, and the broader governance challenges facing the nation.
The absence of institutionalized processes for appointing credible individuals with track records of institutional knowledge weakens the government’s ability to tackle the structural issues. Self-proclaimed educators and orators have failed the country, ultimately the president.
Institutional integrity is defined by the credibility and accuracy of the information shared with the public. Not acknowledging the realities of the situation facing the state is mind-boggling. It demonstrates a lack of capacity and programs centered on the needs of the people.
I am extremely disturbed by General Kuol controvercial statements. Our people never reached a level of desperation where they would eat some of the repiles he named, given that our communities taboos strongly reject. I am deeply concerned about his remarks. Forest eatable trees.
A country that has long suffered from deep-rooted corruption is finally taking significant steps toward reform and accountability. After years of widespread embezzlement and misuse of public funds by government officials, the President has begun apprehending those responsibles.
May the new year bring a new beginning for the people to move forward as a 'state, rather than a nation'. It is mportant to reconcile, heal and commit to the conduct of the election, which will be the first South Sudanese election to exercise the right to vote. With peace & unity
Celebrate the removal of a clueless individual; however keep in mind that chronic socioeconomic challenges would remain unresolved. Metaphorically, when hunters focus on the shadow of an elephant rather than the actual elephant, the underlying problem (the elephant) remains alive
The declaration of the South Sudan Salvation Movement (SSSM) by Hon. Nhial Deng Nhial is current news in the country. However, what caught my attention was the use of the English word "MOVEMENT." Is it a movement or a party?

When governance is in crisis, the entire system suffers, lawlessness becomes the norm, and the responsibility to protect and provide loses significance. As a result, hopelessness erodes citizen's sense of dignity and humanity for generations.
Subjecting leaders of one ethnic group because of the state conflict may exacerbate divisiveness, disrupt the current peace, and increase the risk of widespread violence. Justice must be fair and impartial to create a welcoming environment to ensure reconciliation, and healing.
The paradox of weak institutions in sovereign engagement is that discussions often occur on social media rather than among scholars and researchers. This issue may hinder the ability of institutions and lawmakers to make informed decisions on matters of national interests.
Hon. Martin Elias Lumoro made a disparaging statement categorizing "the Nuer community as both hostile and non-hostile." This uncalled-for speech has brought Nuer communities together, particularly members, leaders, and intellectuals who have publicly condemned it. Great moved.
@vpsouthsudan@SouthSudanGov@benbolmel@mafs_ss What happened to the previous "1000 tractors acquired on President Salva Kiir's directive in 2015?" Hopefully, the new initiative will not start from scratch in terms of budget allocation.
@benbolmel Considerate steps to alleviate poverty. South Sudan's economy is predominantly agricultural, and the climate and arable land conditions allow for a variety of farming practices. Changing the status quo requires leadership and resources!
South Sudan's current political development may be regarded by some as a win-lose situation. However, this is a clearly lose-lose situation. It is a step backward in the middle of peace agreement, which will continue to frustrate citizens & impede the country from achieving peace
The Government of South Sudan should issuance a timely press release presenting its position about the US "Revokes Visas for South Sudanese." The media outlets are blackmailing the country. Note that the technological world operates like that! Please act immediately!
