How do you deal with an argumentative team member, who opposes other people’s plans and won’t listen to feedback?
As a young SEAL officer, I was the guy who took pride in being argumentative and pushing back against the chain of command.
But when I started working for Jocko, he asked me some earnest questions that helped me recognize why this was a problem.
“Does it help to have a bad relationship with your chain of command?” Jocko asked me. “Does it help your team?”
One of the wildest sequences I’ve ever seen.
First, the umpire, who is being yelled at by the opposing manager, puts the ball in play and calls a high strike.
Then, two batters in the same batters box take a pitch together.
Lastly, A BRAWL!
I received a message from a friend, with the video attached, at 3pm today. This is at a sporting goods store in Houston.
“My son just filmed this at Academy on Westheimer. They walked in, grabbed a ton of stuff, and walked out.”
