A 25-year-old US-Israeli occupation soldier from Great Neck, New York, has died following a severe battle with what VIN News reported as being combat-induced psychological trauma stemming from his participation in the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

William Shakin, who relocated to Israel following 7 October, enlisted as a foreign volunteer through the Mahal program. He served as a frontline combat infantryman in the elite Golani Brigade's 13th Battalion, taking part in ground operations inside the besieged Palestinian enclave where he witnessed high casualties among his unit.

Following the completion of his tour, Shakin suffered a rapid and severe deterioration in his mental health, associates confirmed.

Despite returning to the US with profound psychological wounds, VIN News reports that Shakin was denied formal recognition or support by Israeli authorities. Anutin Says ‘Wall’ Post Was Self-Reminder as People’s Party MPs Hit Back

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said his cryptic reference to an increasingly high and thick “wall” was merely a reminder to himself.

Anutin wrote on Facebook on August 9: “You run headfirst into a wall every day, but the wall keeps getting higher and thicker. If you keep running into it, you will only hurt your head again.”

Deputy party leader Parit Wacharasindhu said failed leaders were often surrounded by “walls, mirrors and liars,” while fellow deputy leader Veerayooth Kanchoochat said the wall facing the public was built from corruption, electoral fraud, fuel hoarding, civil-service examination fraud and collusion in the Senate election.

On August 10, list MP Rangsiman Rome said no wall could block progress or the will of the people. He questioned how ineffective a leader must be to rely on “someone else’s wall” for protection and said only a fool would believe such barriers could withstand a changing world.

Asked whether his post was aimed at People’s Party deputy leader Sirikanya Tansakun, Anutin declined to identify anyone. He touched his forehead and said, “A bump on the head,” before adding that the post was intended only “to teach and remind myself.”
