Are we the last generation to have acquaintances whose real names are a mystery ? My hometown is an endless parade of Beamer,Budgie,Scraggs,Tops,Raggy et al. Filling out a team sheet as a football manager 20 years ago I had to ask five of my teammates what their real names were.
