Warning: This video may have you checking the surf report. 🌊👀
A Cool Wave of Color was Greg MacGillivray's first commercial film. Its stunning slow-motion surfing helped redefine the surf film genre—and nearly 60 years later, it still makes you want to grab your board. ☀️🤙
Nothing says summer like chasing the next wave… even if it doesn't always cooperate. 🌊☀️
Five Summer Stories isn't just about perfect rides—it's about the wipeouts, chaos, and unforgettable North Shore Hawaii crashes that make surfing so much fun to watch.
We're celebrating summer with Free and Easy! Greg MacGillivray and Jim Freeman's first film together captured California surf culture at its best. Even cooler? They traveled from theater to theater, narrating every screening live—making each show a one-of-a-kind experience. 🏄 🤙
Talk about a field trip. 🤩🇺🇸

Christopher Nolan recently reflected on the lasting impact of To Fly! In a GoldDerby interview, Nolan recalls seeing the film as a child, later turning to Greg MacGillivray for advice. To Fly! and The Odyssey will both play at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum.
To Fly! was only supposed to play during America's Bicentennial in 1976, it's still playing daily at the Smithsonian — making it the longest-running film in a single theater in history. 💙
Thank you to everyone who's been part of this incredible journey! ✈️
No drones. No GoPros. No digital cameras.
Just a talented crew and some very ambitious ideas✈️😅
As we get ready to celebrate the 50th anniversary of To Fly! tomorrow, we're looking back at some behind-the-scenes moments from the film that inspired generations of moviegoers. 💙

Still thinking about the ocean this week.
Scenes from Great Barrier Reef remind us that some of the ocean’s greatest wonders aren’t the biggest animals—they’re the coral ecosystems that support an incredible diversity of life.

The ocean always has another story to tell. 🌊🐬 One of our favorite things about Call of the Dolphins is that every dolphin in the film was captured in the wild—no trained animals, no aquarium habitats, just real moments with these incredible creatures. 💙
These waters from our film Journey to the South Pacific are a reminder of why we never get tired of filming the ocean. The colors, the movement, the endless horizon—it has a way of making you stop and just take it all in. ✨ Not a bad view, if you ask us. 😍
Happy World Ocean Day! 🌊🐋
We could spend all day watching humpback whales and never get tired of it.
Today feels like the perfect excuse to appreciate the place that inspires so many of our films—and the amazing animals that call it home. 💙
