Having arrived in 2013, I have lived out all my adult years here. Regrettably, my application for permanent residency remains unresolved. By comparison, many people who relocated here merely several years earlier have successfully secured PR and seattled down.

According to Toronto Star report (Oct6,2025), in 2024, China had 4250 PR security screening referrals - the highest of any country, surpassing Iran, India, etc. NSIRA found that CBSA used screening indicators based exclusively on nationality. Explanation?@CitImmCanada

The length of Security Screening, especially for Chinese applicants, is ridicuous, often 3 to 5 years. The life of the applicants are forced to pause with families apart and careers ruined. The money of the canadian tax payers is squandered. What a shame!

UK allows gov to require telecom and technology companies to assist with surveillance &intelligence operations

Article 7 of China’s National Intelligence Law does not say that every Chinese citizen must collect intelligence or act as a spy. Some of us have never even heard of this law, let alone been asked to do anything related to intelligence.
